“When I started training at Vacanti Jiu Jitsu, I was the average gym attendee. I was bored and looking for something different. I stopped by Vacanti Jiu Jitsu and knew right away I foun
d a great place. The gym was spacious and clean and Pat welcomed me right away. He let me try a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) class and a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) workout. I was hooked immediately! I thought Jiu Jitsu would be intimidating but it was was a completely different experience than I ever imagined. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, you couldn't help but enjoy yourself! Pat creates a comfortable environment to learn and put your training to practice. The other students I met were also very welcoming and eager to train with me.
The MMA workout is great! Everyone can do it, and the variety of exercises will keep you from getting in that 'workout rut'.
Whether you've been training for years or you are brand new and looking for something different, VJJ is it! I can't imagine my life without it!”

"Since I've begun training at Vacanti Jiu Jitsu I've become stronger, lost weight, gained endurance, and I feel that I have truly obtained a unique skill that I will have for as long as I can practice it. The Jiu Jitsu lessons that are taught are detailed and the MMA workouts are intense and never the same. For my instructor, Pat Vacanti, I couldn't ask for a better person. He is always willing to help and go the extra mile. Pat is, by far, an absolute amazing practitioner of his craft and I'm glad to be a part of his school."

"I
am a lifelong athlete, and was a
gymnast for 12 years. Before I
became a stay at home mom, I was a
personal trainer,
so I am no stranger to working out.
I am a competitive person and
exercise has always been a huge part
of who I am. I am also a person
that enjoys learning new skills,
being challenged and I like change.
Despite having a
home gym and
knowledge as a personal trainer, I
needed a change in my routine.
Vacanti Jiu Jitsu happened to be
opening up next to my child's
preschool, so I inquired.
After
speaking to Pat Vacanti, I thought
his
Mixed
Martial Arts (MMA) class
may be exactly what I was looking
for, and after one MMA class I was
hooked. This class is challenging
and Pat is an amazing instructor.
He is knowledgeable, and very in
tune to his students. He knows when
to push you and how and when to
change things up in the workout to
specifically meet your needs. His
workouts are carefully planned and
he is always well prepared. Every
class is different, but always
involves strength and
resistance exercises
and a cardiovascular workout, as
well as Jiu Jitsu training. The
focus is sometimes in one aspect
more than another, but none go
without attention. It is a complete
workout in every sense of the word.
At this
time in my life, being healthy is my
primary goal. MMA has more than
exceeded my expectations of a
strength and conditioning
class. In addition to being
healthy, I am strong and have
definition in my muscles that I have
not seen since I was a gymnast.
Every part of my body has gotten
smaller and tighter. Having 4 kids
makes finding time to exercise
tough, but if you love what you are
doing, you make the time."

"I was a
270 pound female who wanted to lose
weight without surgery. I
joined a gym and on my own lost 60
pounds. I then began to work
with a trainer, which did help but
not as much as I thought.
After a year of training a friend
suggested Vacanti Jiu Jitsu.
Still overweight, I was a little
uneasy about trying MMA.
Thinking I could not physically do
it, I tired it once and joined that
same night. I loved it.
After three
months of working out, my muscle
tone has improved. I have
gotten stronger and I am more
confident in myself. The class
is tough - it challenges me and that
is what I need. I have never
once done the same work-out, so I am
never bored. Every time I
leave, I feel like I have succeeded.
Looking forward - I just can't wait
to see what I will be doing at my
next workout and how much further I
can personally push myself.
